Maqadi is in beta. This guide describes how the app works for beta stores; details may still change before launch.
Data and security
Maqadi stores only what it needs to run your subscriptions, keeps it in Saudi Arabia, and deletes it when you remove the app.
Where data is kept
On Oracle Cloud in the Jeddah region (me-jeddah-1), Saudi Arabia. Subscriptions, schedules and customer details are stored and processed only there. See data residency.
What Maqadi stores
- Your store's name and the access keys Salla gives the app, encrypted.
- Your plans: products, frequencies, discounts, settings and message texts.
- For each subscription: the customer's name and contact details, the product, frequency, next date, status and Salla's subscription reference.
- A log of messages sent and of renewals started.
What Maqadi never stores
- Card numbers or any other card data. Cards are handled by your store's checkout.
- Your customers' passwords. The customer portal uses links and one-time codes.
Who is responsible
You are the controller of your customers' data; Maqadi processes it on your behalf. The terms are in the data processing agreement.
When you remove the app
Subscriptions stop renewing, and your store's data is deleted as described on the app privacy page. Orders already created stay in your Salla store.
