Privacy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This notice covers the website maqadi.dev. The Maqadi app inside online stores, and the data of stores' customers, is covered by the privacy notice for the store app.

The short version

This website has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. If you join the beta, your details are kept on our server in Jeddah and used only to talk to you about the beta. The live demo runs entirely in your browser.

Who is responsible

Yimello LLC, Sharjah Media City (Shams), Al Messaned, Al Bataeh, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Trade License 2430802.01. Contact: contact@yimello.dev. Questions about this notice or your data can also be sent to support@maqadi.dev.

What is processed

Beta sign-up

If you fill in the form at maqadi.dev/en/join, we keep what you enter: your name, email and, if you give them, phone or WhatsApp number, your store's name and address, its platform and the answers about your store. We use them only to contact you about the beta, to set up your store for it, and to decide which features to build first. They are stored on our server in Jeddah, are part of its encrypted backups, and are deleted 12 months after you sign up, or earlier if you ask; the backups that contain them expire within a further 35 days. Your IP address is not stored with them. When a sign-up arrives, we are notified by email.

The live demo

The demo at maqadi.dev/en/try uses a sample store with invented customers. It runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us; it keeps its sample data in your browser's local storage so that a reload does not reset it, and you can reset it at any time from the demo.

Technical logs

For each request to our server, the method, the path without any parameters, the status code and the time taken are recorded. For an unexpected error, only its type is recorded. Form contents and IP addresses are not recorded. The log has a fixed maximum size and overwrites its oldest entries. The web server keeps no access logs. To limit misuse of the sign-up form and the chat, the IP address of each such request is held in the server's memory for up to one hour, then discarded.

Email

Messages you send us, and our replies.

Website chat

The assistant on this website answers questions about Maqadi. Questions that are not about Maqadi are answered by our server alone and go nowhere else. A question about Maqadi is sent, together with matching excerpts of our help centre and your last few questions in the same window, to Anthropic in the United States, which writes the answer. Before anything is sent, our server removes email addresses, phone numbers and keys it recognises. Please do not type in personal data about your customers or others.

We do not store the conversation: it stays in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. We keep only anonymous daily totals (number of questions, cost), with no text and no IP address. The basis is our interest in answering visitors' questions quickly, and your own choice to use the chat; you can always write to us instead.

Why, and on what basis

Beta sign-up details are used at your request, to take the steps needed before you start using the service, and on the basis of our interest in building a product that fits Saudi stores. Email correspondence is used to answer you.

Where it is processed

This website and the server behind it run on Oracle Cloud in the Jeddah region of Saudi Arabia, and the sign-up details and their encrypted backups are kept there. Emails pass through our email provider, Rackhost, in Hungary (European Union), and are handled by Yimello LLC in the United Arab Emirates. Questions typed into the website chat are answered with the help of Anthropic in the United States. The data residency statement lists every location.

Who processes it

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure hosts the server in Jeddah. Our email is handled by Rackhost in Hungary. Anthropic writes the answers of the website chat. These providers act only on our behalf. No other party receives your data, and it is never sold or used for advertising.

How long it is kept

Beta sign-ups: 12 months after sign-up, or until you ask us to delete them. If your store goes on to use Maqadi, the details needed to run your store's account are kept while the app is installed, as described in the store app notice. Enquiries by email that do not lead to using Maqadi are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for processing to be restricted, or object to it. Write to support@maqadi.dev and you will have an answer within 30 days. Depending on where you are, you may also have rights under local law, such as the Personal Data Protection Law in Saudi Arabia, and you may complain to the competent authority.

Security

This website is served only over HTTPS, and the sign-up form and the chat accept requests only from this website's own pages.

Links to other websites

maqadi.dev is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply.
